Großwald
European Defence Intelligence
Europe's defence spending has outpaced its capacity to deliver capability. Großwald tracks where the money goes, what it produces, and what it means for the alliance.
Großwald is an independent European defence intelligence publication. We read Europe's rearmament as one moving system: procurement, alliance posture, industrial readiness.
Coverage spans Germany, Central and Eastern Europe, the eastern flank, the Arctic and Nordics, and the NATO and EU architectures that bind them.
Signal runs Monday to Friday at 23:00 CET, covering the same day. Curated and Systems sit behind it. The audience is the institutional readership that decides, funds, supplies, and reports on European defence.
Editorial Standards
Reporting and assessment are kept separate. Reporting carries inline source attribution; Großwald's judgements are marked and published as such. Every Signal item carries a marked block of Großwald's own assessment: what the development changes for the European structural picture. Großwald takes positions on the news; it does not advocate.
Every piece is produced under the verification process described in our editorial methodology — primary sources first, quotations traced to the venue that originally carried them, every linked URL checked live before publication. Every edition is published with a stated verification cutoff.
The work is cumulative. Each edition is read against earlier coverage; prior judgements are revisited. Where later events confirm, complicate, or contradict a prior Großwald judgement, subsequent coverage says so and links the original.
Every edition closes with a Forward Look: dated, specific, what to watch in the coming days.
