Diehl Defence and Lockheed Martin Sign MoU on PAC-3 MSE Supply Chain
German–U.S. cooperation aims to expand production capacity for the Patriot interceptor

Diehl Defence and Lockheed Martin signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore cooperation on production, sustainment, and related R&D for the PAC-3 Missile Segment Enhancement (MSE) interceptor used with Patriot air and missile defense.
The MoU focuses on options to expand European supply chain capacity, coordinate Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) activities, and address higher demand observed in recent operations. Lockheed Martin states it is increasing output to accelerate deliveries to U.S. and allied users. Diehl Defence will examine how domestic manufacturing can support these efforts.
PAC-3 MSE is fielded by 17 nations, including Germany and the United States, and is designed for intercepts against ballistic, cruise, and hypersonic threats. The MoU is an exploratory step; implementation details (locations, volumes, timelines) were not disclosed.
