Editorial Principles

Großwald's value depends on its independence and integrity. These principles govern all editorial decisions and cannot be overridden by commercial, political, or personal considerations.

Independence

Großwald is editorially independent from its operating entity, Veilmark LLC. The operator provides infrastructure and business administration. All editorial decisions — what to cover, how to frame analysis, what conclusions to draw — are made by the editorial team without external direction or approval.

We are not affiliated with any government, defence ministry, armed service, intelligence agency, political party, lobby group, or defence contractor. We do not coordinate coverage with any state or institutional actor.

Conflicts of Interest

Großwald editorial staff may not hold financial positions (stocks, options, advisory fees, consultancy contracts) in companies or entities covered by the publication. Where a potential conflict of interest exists, it must be disclosed to the editorial desk and the affected contributor must recuse themselves from relevant coverage.

We do not accept gifts, travel, hospitality, or access arrangements from defence contractors, government agencies, or other entities that could create an obligation or perception of bias.

Advertising and Sponsorship

Großwald does not publish sponsored content, native advertising, advertorials, or paid editorial placements. Our publication is funded through reader subscriptions.

If commercial advertising is introduced in the future, it will be clearly distinguished from editorial content and will have no influence on editorial decisions, coverage priorities, or analytical conclusions.

Source Protection

Großwald protects the confidentiality of sources who provide information on the condition of anonymity. We do not reveal the identity of confidential sources to third parties, including the operating entity, unless legally compelled and after exhausting available legal remedies.

We verify all information provided by confidential sources through independent corroboration before publication.

Editorial Integrity

• We do not fabricate information, quotes, data, or sources.
• We do not plagiarise. All analysis is original work. Where we draw on the reporting of others, we attribute it.
• We do not suppress information to protect commercial or political interests.
• We do not accept payment or other consideration in exchange for coverage or favourable analysis.
• We correct errors promptly and transparently, as set out in our corrections policy.

Separation of Analysis and Advocacy

Großwald analyses defence policy, procurement, and strategy. We do not advocate for specific policy positions, procurement decisions, weapons programmes, or political outcomes. Where our analysis identifies implications or risks, we present them as analytical observations, not recommendations.
